Quick answer

Yes, a professional small business website can be designed, built and launched in 48 hours. BuildSites does it with a 20-minute kickoff call, a fixed sitemap of up to eight pages, copy and design done in parallel, one review round and a full QA pass. Toronto and Montréal businesses get the same timeline.

TorontoWe've launched 48-hour sites for businesses in North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, East York, Downtown and the Beaches and across Toronto. The kickoff call runs on video, from our Toronto base. We work with you by video and on site where it helps.

20 minutes. Sitemap, services, areas and look agreed. We need: your logo and a list of services.

How does a 48-hour website build actually work?

The build runs on a fixed process: a 20-minute kickoff call, copy and design done in parallel, one review round, and a full QA pass.

The site goes live within 48 hours of working time once you hand over your logo and services list.

48 hours of working time means the clock runs while we build and pauses while we wait on anything from you.

Design and content happen at the same time, not one after the other.

What do you need to have ready before the build starts?

Four things: your logo, a list of services and areas you serve, any photos of your work, and someone available to answer questions for two days.

  • Your logo, or a clear idea of the look you want
  • A list of services and the areas you serve
  • Photos of your work, if you have them
  • Someone who can respond to questions during the build

What is included when the site goes live?

Up to 8 pages, custom design, mobile-first layout, fast hosting, SSL, contact and quote forms with instant replies, Google Business Profile connection, basic local SEO, and analytics.

Maintenance after launch covers hosting, SSL, uptime monitoring every minute, security updates within 24 hours, nightly backups kept 30 days, and edits usually live the same day.

A care plan takes over the upkeep the moment the site goes live. There is no upfront build cost. The first payment is due the day the site launches.

The plan runs at $297 a month plus tax on a 12-month term, then month to month. Cancel with 30 days' notice; remaining months are due on early cancel. Your domain, content and accounts are yours from day one. The site itself is yours once the 12-month term is complete.

How the 48-hour timeline runs step by step

The build follows the same sequence every time.

  1. Book a free 20-minute call. You leave with a launch date.
  2. Send your logo and services list.
  3. Copy and design run in parallel. You may get questions during this phase.
  4. You review one draft and give feedback.
  5. QA pass covers mobile, speed and forms.
  6. Site goes live on your domain.

When does the build take longer than 48 hours?

Online stores, bilingual French and English sites, and custom software all take longer.

Project typeTypical timeline
Up to 8-page service site48 hours working time
Bilingual French and English siteOne to two weeks
Online store or customer portalQuoted after a call
Custom softwareQuoted after a call

If your project falls into one of those categories, the first call will say so and give you a real date. See the Toronto web design page for local details.

Does the 48-hour site include SEO?

Yes, the foundations: fast pages, proper structure, local keywords, and Google Business Profile connection. Ongoing SEO beyond that is a separate service.

For a fuller picture of what local SEO covers after launch, see local SEO basics.

Questions we get asked

Is a 48-hour website lower quality?

No. The same design and build standards apply. The difference is a tighter process and fewer meetings.

What happens if I'm slow to reply during the build?

The clock pauses. The 48-hour promise is working time on our end. The build can stretch across more calendar days if responses take time.

Can I make changes after the site launches?

Yes. Edits are included in the care plan. Bigger changes are quoted quickly.

Does BuildSites build 48-hour websites in Montréal as well as Toronto?

Yes. Bilingual French and English sites take one to two weeks instead.

Do I need to do anything during the build?

You send your logo and services list before we start, then stay available to answer questions for two days and give feedback on one review round.
