Websites for Flooring Companies

We run a flooring company ourselves, so we know what a quote request looks like at 9 pm on a Sunday. The site asks the right questions before you call back.

What your quote form should ask

Tick what you install. The list below is the form we would build for that mix: every field has a reason, and none of them is there to pad the form.

0 fields, every one of them needed to price the job. Plus name, phone, email and the address, which every form asks.

Every plan includes the quote form and the text reply. Book a 20-minute call and we will build the form for your products.

Most flooring sites are one long page: a hero photo, a list that says "hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile" in a single paragraph, an Instagram grid and a phone number. That page ranks for nothing, because a search for "vinyl plank installation Mississauga" needs a page about vinyl plank installation in Mississauga, not a mention of the word.

The quote requests it does bring arrive half-formed. "How much for 800 square feet" with no address, no product and no photo. You call back, ask the same five questions, and the person has already called two other installers.

We run Flooring Office, our own flooring company. The site we build for flooring installers is the site we wanted for ourselves.

What pages does a flooring company site need?

One page per product you install, one page per area you serve, a commercial page, and a quote form that collects what you need before the first call. That is the structure of luxury-flooring.ca, which we built for Luxury Flooring in Toronto.

  • Service pages: hardwood, vinyl plank, laminate, tile, staircases, refinishing. Each one answers the questions people ask about that product, shows that product's photos, and ends in the quote form.
  • Area pages: one per city you actually drive to. Luxury Flooring has seven across the GTA. Not one per neighbourhood, and never a hundred near-identical pages.
  • A commercial page: property managers and general contractors look for one, and they will not fill in the residential form.
  • Our Work: before-and-after pairs by product, with the city named, not a grid of unlabelled photos.
  • The quote form: area, product, stairs, photos. The tool above shows what we ask for each product.

What should the quote form ask?

Enough to price the job, no more. Square footage, the product, whether there are stairs, whether old flooring comes out, and a photo. A photo answers more than any dropdown: it shows the subfloor, the transitions and the furniture.

The form replies by text within a minute, so the person knows you have it. Then you call back with a number instead of a list of questions. Every BuildSites plan includes the form and the text reply.

An estimator is different from a quote form. Luxury Flooring's estimator gives a rough range from square footage and product before anyone talks to a person, and then asks for the details. It filters the people who only wanted a ballpark from the ones ready to book a measure.

Should the price per square foot be on the site?

A range, yes. "From $X a square foot installed" on each product page answers the first question before anyone calls, and the people who call afterwards already know roughly what the job costs. Hiding every number sends them to the installer who published one.

The exact quote still comes after a measure. The site says so, on the same line as the range.

How does the flooring website plan work?

$297 USD a month, plus applicable taxes, with no upfront build cost. The first payment is due the day the site goes live. The 12-month term is then month to month with 30 days' notice.

The plan includes up to 8 pages designed and written for your company, the quote form answered by text within a minute, one page per service and per area built to rank for local searches, your Google Business Profile linked, analytics and Search Console connected, and the care plan: hosting, SSL, uptime checks every minute, security updates within 24 hours, nightly backups kept 30 days, and unlimited edits.

A flooring company with six products and seven areas needs more than 8 pages. The extra pages are quoted on the call, in writing, before anything starts. See the pricing page for every plan.

How fast can a flooring site go live?

In 48 hours once we have your logo, your product list and your service areas. Phone photos of real jobs are better than stock; if you have none, we source photos that fit. Working time only: the clock pauses while we wait on you.

What happens to quotes after the site is live?

The site is where the quote starts. What happens next is the part most flooring companies lose: the follow-up on the quote that went out Tuesday and never got an answer, the invoice that is three weeks late, the review you forgot to ask for.

The Automation plan handles those: quote and invoice follow-ups until they are paid, a review request after every job, and a text back on every missed call. How Flooring Office runs its quotes and invoice automation explain the workflows. Website and Automation together are $445 USD a month.

Questions flooring ask us

What pages does a flooring company website need?

One page per product you install, one page per city you serve, a commercial page, an Our Work page with before-and-after photos by product, and a quote form that asks for area, product, stairs and a photo. Up to 8 pages are included in the plan; extra service and area pages are quoted before the build.

Should I put my price per square foot on the site?

A range per product, yes, with the note that the exact quote follows a measure. It answers the first question before the call and brings in people who already know roughly what the job costs.

What is the difference between an estimator and a quote form?

An estimator gives a rough range from square footage and product before anyone talks to you. A quote form collects what you need to price the job. Luxury Flooring's site has both; most flooring companies start with the form.

How much does a flooring company website cost?

$297 USD a month, plus applicable taxes, with no upfront build cost, on a 12-month term. Hosting, monitoring, updates, backups and unlimited edits are included. Automation for quote follow-ups, invoices and reviews brings the total to $445 USD a month.

Do you build area pages for GTA cities?

Yes, one per city you actually serve, each written for that city, with the services you offer there. Luxury Flooring has seven. We do not build a page for every neighbourhood or a grid of near-identical city pages.

Can you build for a flooring company outside Toronto?

Yes. BuildSites serves Toronto, the GTA and Montréal and works remotely across Canada. The service pages and area pages are written for wherever you work.
